Avantages:

C'est un logiciel très utile qui permet de préparer et de modeliser les données avec une interface conviviale et familière aux utilisateurs d'Excel ainsi que des fonctionnalités couvrant des besoins de traitement et d'analyse

Inconvénients:

XLSTAT est un outil performant d'analyse statistique que j'apprécie beaucoup. actuellement je n'est pas de problème avec cet outil pour le moment.

XLSTAT - logiciel robuste et facile a manipuler

Avantages:

Le logiciel est assez robuste, meme dans sa forme la plus basique, avec tout teste statistique fréquemment utilisé facilement disponible.

Inconvénients:

Parfois, et cela est surtout vrai après avoir fait plusieurs testes statistiques sur un meme fichier excel, le logiciel peut etre Un peu gourmand en re ssources systeme. Mais cela est peu fréquent.

Xlstat un outil complet, de qualité avec un service client à l'écoute

Avantages:

Après avoir utilisé l'outil en tant que doctorante, je l'ai tout de suite recommandé à l'entreprise qui a effectué ma première embauche. En effet, en tant qu' Ingénieure en Recherche et Développement je trouve qu'XLSTAT est complet et surtout simple d'utilisation. Des traitements de données complexes sont à effectuer pour avoir des résultats de bonnes qualité

Inconvénients:

Je n'y trouve pas d'inconvénients en particulier car toutes les fonctionnalités que j'ai souhaité utiliser étaient disponibles et les tutoriels très complets en cas d'hésitation.

XLSTAT est Génial

Avantages:

Une multitude d'analyses peuvent être effectuées avec XLSTAT, c'est un logiciel d'analyses statistiques extrêmement performant. Avec des données bien préparées et présentées, les résultats de l'analyse sont obtenus avec une ébauche d'interprétation; ce qui la rend facile à comprendre et à expliquer même pour les novices.

Inconvénients:

Il faut une formation préalable pour bien effectuer les analyses. Toutefois, grâce aux supports vidéo sur internet on y arrive graduellement.

Commentaires: I handle most of my sensory evaluation data and consumer data using XLSTAT. It is super easy and smooth to complete the data feeding – processing – reporting procedure. Now it only takes me 10 mins to finish all thoes steps (without XLSTAT, 2–3 days might not be enough)

Avantages:

Economic, user-friendly, comprehensive online tutorial, customised training courses, best integration to Excel, up-to-date solutions, customer service

Inconvénients:

Some functions have bugs that cause Excel collapse. I always identify these bugs and report them to Addinsoft. They always contact me the next day and fix these bugs as fast as they can.

Prices need to be lowered.

Avantages:

Multivariate analysis and practicality in data analysis.

The price needs to be lowered or for old customers to have more discounts.

XLSTAT works well for Windows, but not Macs

Commentaires: I thought this software was a great idea, and it works really well on a Windows machine. I tried it several times (several versions) on a Mac, and was always disappointed. The support staff acknowledges that the performance on a Mac is less than on a PC

It is easy (and powerful) to interface this package with Excel on a Windows machine, but it's disappointingly slow (and crashes) on a Mac.

This software doesn't work well on a Mac.

Commentaires: With XLSTAT I can analyze my data without too much headache, it's the most accessible statistical software I've ever used.

It's easy to understand and the fact that the data is already on the Excel sheet is just handy. No need for complicated formulas to get your results.

when ANOVA is needed to test, I've never seen such an easy software as Xlstat. Also, since we can adjust the figure using excel, it is so convenient software.

Inconvénients:

it might be helpful if there's some software for metabolomics tools. There are only few of options available, but i was wondering if we can use the volcano plot.

Graph illustrations, error bars, and descriptive stats.And, ANOVA is the best function ever, everything you need is there!

So far have not encountered any hardships as the support and IT team or assistance is always there to assist one.

Go to statistical software package for years

Commentaires: Most of my work is in conventional statistical analysis and sensometrics. XLSTAT helps me to get the most out of my client's data with peace of mind that the analyses are done properly and that the conclusions are reliable.

Avantages:

XLSTAT is easy to use (provided you have good theoretical know-how) and compatible with Excel which makes reporting a dream. It's compatible with R as well for additional functionality, although XLSTAT's functionality, especially in sensometrics is already very good.

Inconvénients:

Not all of the tests are set up to handle multiple variables at once leading to a lot of manual labor. However, this is the exception and not the rule.

Using the excel environment for data analyses and visualisation is a winner; creates a short learning curve for any new analyst. The video tutorials are topnotch and user is able to learn the statistics and its application easily and quickly. Overall functionality and user friendliness are excellent .

Artificial Intelligence functionality can be built in to improve functionality.

xlstat application to scientific application

I usually use it to analyze research data, such as consumption analysis of different local products. The most used statistics are chi square, correlation analysis, multiple and simple correspondence analysis; so Zenplot will help me a lot to be able to place the trust ellipses in the graphs

Inconvénients:

I don't really like the cost, as a student it's expensive compared to xlstat when you get it from a friend

Commentaires: XLSTAT can be best described as the software for data science from beginner to advanced levels that can be operated without the need of technical guidance. Sampling, data preparation, exploratory data analysis to building prediction models with state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms generally encompasses a set of requirements: a clear objective, a software with all standard features and algorithms, intuition, technical guidance, and probably, also experience. With XLSTAT, the first one in the list alone is sufficient enough to successfully accomplish the goal; the rest is taken care of by XLSTAT. In the academic milieu, we regularly face the task of explaining students of how statistical models are built from a set of data and their specific applications accompanied by demonstrations in the classroom. This includes even spatial and time-series data. This tutoring approach goes a long way in encouraging students towards a dissertation project involving data-driven modelling. In this situation, undergraduates who only have some basic operational knowledge about Excel spreadsheets are easily drawn into using a data science platform which runs on the already familiar Excel and transforms their data in spreadsheets into powerful and efficient models. This is where XLSTAT becomes the default platform for data science projects. In short, XLSTAT is a workhorse for data scientists with a few simple mouse clicks and visualizing the response in every step as stunning graphics.

Avantages:

XLSTAT can process even spatial data as raster to CSV converted files and enables to prepare the data just like in Excel. Data preparation is the single tedious task which consumes most of the time in a data science project. XLSTAT has all standard features and algorithms of machine learning software which can be operated by editing simple spreadsheets.

Inconvénients:

Not suitable for processing a big dataset with 10 million rows such as high-resolution remote sensing images

Commentaires: My experience is great. I will continue using XLSTAT as a helping tool for my research. The tutorial help also a lot in order to put the data in the correct form and to share experiences with other users.I would suggest more specilized tutorials or free formation on this software.

Avantages:

The integration of the software with excel is the key of XLSTAT. I'm not statician, but use statistics to contrast and model the experimental results.Data are easily formatted, I prefer rows for treatments and columns for measured variables.Using a combination of ANOVA tools along with PCA, I was able to demonstrate which fatures are related to the oxidative stability of different types of foods . Also the use of non-linear regression allows to predict the behaviour of these parameters during time. All these analysis, done on the same database and with easily exportable figures is a great help for researchers.

Inconvénients:

Sometimes I found difficulties to find the best fitting model to the data. Also drawing centroids and confidence ellipses is sometimes difficult
