The setting up of my account was a bit confusing at first. Was shown an invoice date that I though was the day the payment will come out and that confused me.

Avantages:

Tuio has been a fantastic tool to move our school into online payments and invoice management.

Commentaires: Tuio allowed us to streamline our enrolment and tuition payment processes. We are moving away from handling post-dated cheques to online direct payments. This is both a better user experience for our parents as well as saving time and generating efficiencies in the administration. It really is a Win Win!

Avantages:

What I like most about Tuio is that it is built from the ground up as a payment software, instead of an added-on after thought. The system is intuitive and simple to navigate while being powerful on the backend to support our needs. Our parents have had nothing but good things to say about how much they like the system.

Inconvénients:

There are a few features which would be nice to have such as the ability to modify the payment amounts once an invoice has been issued; however, Tuio has been very responsive to suggestions and is continually publishing new features/functionality.

Its UI/UX and ease of use in general, and the filtering options

Inconvénients:

the fact that i cannot tell how much money we received in our bank deposited per month, unless i download the forms and calculate it somehow myself (it also gives me the perception that tuio wants to hide the fees that it charges parents or us for us not to see)

Thanks for the review Endrit! You can absolutely easily see how much you've received, as the deposit payout amounts are shown on the invoice export (with the corresponding invoices for reconciliation purposes), as well as the applicable fees. We are transparent about the processing fees involved with online payments and we have columns for them on the export for calculating your expenses. I'll have support reach out to you to spotlight how easy it is to reconcile your payments. Even big 3rd party auditors have given us unsolicited feedback of how easy the TUIO export made their life during a school audit compared to previous systems the school used.

Commentaires: The conversion happened fairly simply, and the payment processing has been exceptional, from my perspective. However we also want to use tuio as a student information management system and so far it's lacking. Also the reporting suck so far, but we have been told this will be improved in the next few moths/in 2024.

Avantages:

The links to fill out forms, the notifications and payment processing are wonderful. The service is also exceptional (customer service and attentiveness)

Inconvénients:

The reporting. Everything coming in an excel spreadsheet that must be manipulated is time consuming and not optimal

Hi Kristi, early 2024 we have a custom report feature coming at the same time as attendance. This will make pulling student info reports even easier. In the meantime TUIO support can help you if you're struggling with the spreadsheet management.

Easy to use, snappy payment system

Commentaires: So far, we have only used it as a payment system, which is what it started out as. Next, we plan to add a registration piece, where parents and students will fill out their registration information directly into the system, something we don't currently have. After that, we would like to use it more for student information, and if it works out well, we would then ditch Zoho. (We really like Zoho as a database, but it wasn't made for schools and is not ideal in that regard.) The biggest thing Tuio would have to improve before we leave Zoho is its communication piece. In Zoho, we can make attractively designed mass messages to send to parents; there is no such capability yet in Tuio.We have been quite satisfied with Tuio's software and especially appreciative of their customer support. A couple of years ago, we did a total re-do of all of our software systems. We have been happiest with Tuio.

Avantages:

We love Tuio! It was fairly easy to learn, the interface is attractive and generally easy to use, it is has a very quick response time, and the customer support is stellar. I like that it's a small company, so we know the people who support us. They always try to help us when we don't understand something, or help us to make something work when our company's round peg doesn't fit well into their square hole (not unique to Tuio -- we have that problem with lots of software -- but they are eager to help us find workarounds). They are also open to suggestions, particularly since the product is fairly new and they are working on building it.Also, a huge plus is for us is that there was no setup fee, and instead of a monthly charge, Tuio charges by the transaction. It is affordable for our small school, and doing it by transaction means that we have to pay less when we have fewer transactions (and less money to pay a monthly fee).

Inconvénients:

--We have students in many countries, but there are some issues with Tuio in that regard. Part of that is their payment processor, which doesn't work as well with payments in some countries, a problem we didn't have with our previous processor. Also, their parent/student contact information fields are rigidly set to (XXX) XXX-XXXX format, which does not fit our foreign customers. So, for schools that only have customers in the US or Canada (Tuio is from Canada), neither of these would be issues at all. --We are subscription based, but Tuio is designed around defined payment plans. This has created some headaches for us. They have said they are working on creating the ability to have subscription plans, so once that is done, this will no longer be a problem for us.--We do a substantial percentage of our payments through PayPal, but they don't have a way to incorporate PayPal, so we have to enter PayPal transactions as cash, which is not convenient.--While Tuio is mostly easy to use, some things here and there are not intuitive.

Thank you for the 5 star review J Lee, it's extremely detailed and helpful. I'm confident we can have you fully onboarded to TUIO and away from those cumbersome platforms in no time. With regards to the communications piece, we are going to expand on what we have currently and add the ability to make templates and do more broadcasting. In the meantime, you could send mass messages on TUIO with a pdf attachment (that was attractively designed), but I understand where you are coming from. We are working on a global search, support for international phone numbers, and we still have the "payment clock" in our development pipeline. So glad that you are happy with TUIO and made that decision.

Commentaires: Great, friendly customer service, great product knowledge.

Avantages:

Fast payments received from customers, who can see their payments and state of account.

Inconvénients:

Bank reconciliation is cumbersome. Partial payments of invoices would be very helpful. More visual aid (Flow charts) to help with problem solving make be of more use.

Avantages:

Payment process and automation is great with the ease of reporting and process.

Keeping accounts up to date and transparent!

Commentaires: TUIO has made administrative processes much easier. In addition to the payment processing options, TUIO has helped to create online registration forms and links. There is an increased level of organization and efficient procedures. The tech support and immediate response when we need help is amazing. Again this has added to the experience.

Avantages:

TUIO has made our payment processing procedures so much easier from the Administration end; payments are made easily and are trackable. Families are able to keep their accounts up to date and check their accounts easily. The automated messaging and reminders of withdrawals, missed payments, new charges etc., keeps the client families aware. All payments are traceable and can easily be tracked. The technical support that TUIO provides is wonderful as well. They are easy to reach and respond with solutions that work.

Inconvénients:

I can not comment on this. Anytime there was an issue or help was needed, TUIO responded.

Commentaires: Apart from the initial learning curve (it was my first time using this kind of program) it has been great. We had a manual spreadsheet system prior and TUIO has saved tons of time.

Avantages:

The website is quick, easy to use and the customer service is excellent.

Inconvénients:

Our admissions coordinator would like to see more options for wait-listing incoming families.

Regarding the charges, the reports on TUIO are customizable based on the selected filters, so it should be possible to reconcile the accounts accordingly without difficulty. Stay tuned for our next release update which will be coming shortly. You will be able to create custom templates for more convenient reporting, and there will also be a component for GL account mapping of revenue and expense items, which will help you with efficiency of reconciliation.

TUIO Support is Amazing!

Avantages:

The support staff at TUIO is amazing, they are quick and very helpful.

Inconvénients:

The only 2 thing that I would like to see developed is to have a conversation to happen if a stop payment occurs before it happens. Sometimes the student is still enrolled in the program and they do a stop payment and that results in a charge. but if a conversation could occur before that would be better. The second thing that i would highly suggest to be improved is how withdrawals show up on parent's statements. since it is a series of numbers some people don't recognize what the payment is for.

Great System, and definitely better than FACTS

Commentaires: I’ve loved it thus far. we haven’t started the school year yet, but the implementation phase has been great.

Avantages:

The system is easy to learn and use and makes the work load for tuition processing lighter. Communication, interaction with consumers, and account management are very simple.

Inconvénients:

I can’t create custom reports easily, though the data is easy to access.

Super satisfied with my TUIO's experience!

Commentaires: I am super happy with TUIO since my schools started working them in 2019. The support team is really reactive and very flexible with my multiple requests, I wouldn't want to change to another program.

I like that Tuio is easy to use and I am able to see who has made payments quickly.

Inconvénients:

I did know about the fee of of someone paying outside of Tuio and that if it were marked they paid outside there would be a charge.

Commentaires: The support team is quick, thorough, and patient in guiding me through the program.

Avantages:

The payment process has been simplified for parents and administrators, making monthly, quarterly, or annual payments more efficient.

Inconvénients:

A few parents have had minor difficulties setting up their accounts, resulting in them reversing back to EFT which is frustrating for the school. Not sure if it's available, but if there was a support team to train/guide the parents, that would be great!!

Avantages:

We like that TUIP allows us to put our focus towards other school things and not so much on tuition and enrollment.

Inconvénients:

When there are returned fees we have to pay the $1.50 processing fee.

Thanks for the review Samantha. One thing you could do is to edit an invoice to tack on the fee again to avoid being out of pocket the fees if a payment is returned. Once the payment has processed online, the processing fees are taken out by the payment processor.

Almost all of it - this system works very well for our small program.

Inconvénients:

The donations feature takes $$ out before distributing to school. Would like to be able to have fees passed on to donor so school gets all of their money.

Commentaires: Truly a great experience. Getting set up and understanding the platform was a bit tricky for some who are not very technical. However, tech support was willing to walk us through the site and its functions on more than one occasion.

Avantages:

The customer service we receive from TUIO is exceptional. They are quick to respond and they help solve any issues we may be having. They also listen to us as a customer and take feedback on what we would like to see implemented. Completely satisfied with customer service.

Inconvénients:

Commentaires: The customer service is amazing! [sensitive content hidden] is always the person who helps me and he does a great job. He is very helpful, accessible, and quick to get back to me. Any problems I have with the administrator interface (or just things I find non-intuitive) aren't a big deal because the customer service is so good. I also really like how the program is online and accessible from anywhere. It is visually appealing and doesn't take as long to load as Rediker.Another benefit of the good customer service is that any needs or problems the families have, I am able to solve quickly for them.

Avantages:

The customer service and the option for families to pay with ACH.

Inconvénients:

The interface is a little confusing for parents. Many times this year we have parents accidentally register multiple copies of the same children because many parents start but don't finish enrolling and it isn't obvious to them how to pick up where they left off. Going through the registration step and having to fill out that form multiple times is frustrating to parents. There's a lot of confusion around the "New Student" and "Existing Student" options.

Thanks for the detailed review Alex. Parents can keep the form open and finish it later, and you can delete the duplicate registrations when it's needed. We will likely have a way for parents to re-enter the form in an upcoming release. The potential confusion around "New Student" and "Existing Student" is solved now, as we made some changes to the form interface already. Like any software there is a bit of a learning curve but I'm sure your parents will get the hang of it, the learning curve is not steep by any means!

I love the reports and projects. I also love the way discounts can be manipulated.

Inconvénients:

I think Tuio could be more user friendly, better onboarding, and less cumbersome for clients with more than one child.

The customer service and the option for full management of account .

Inconvénients:

The product for me is not self explanatory and the ease of use is important since my time is in the classroom teaching and directing consumes my day. I would prefer a designated customer service person to assist me in this area of my job. The full service option is incredibly important to my job.

Commentaires: TUIO is just amazing to us and our families. My experience has been nothing short of great! They are constantly making TUIO better and better each year, always adding more helpful tools.

Avantages:

I have nothing but good things to say about TUIO. We went from using another company and being on paper, to switching to TUIO, and all online platform that has helped up with enrollments, tuition, and forms. This program is also super easy for our parents as well. Since having TUIO we have happier families and happier staff because of the ease of TUIO.

Inconvénients:

The ONLY thing i can think of would be not having more options to make a more customizable form for parents.
